We encourage Mayor and Council to reconsider the value of the Coquitlam River by:

  • Encouraging industry to invest in technologies that would dispose of their waste in environmentally friendly ways.
  • conducting a thorough review of current gravel operations and strictly enforce existing environmental legislation
  • Not renewing permits for gravel companies that choose not to clean up their acts.
